The matter is difficult to put into words. For fear, real fear, such as shakes you to your foundation, such as you feel when you are brought face to face with your mortal end, nestles in your memory like a gangrene it seeks to rot everything, even the words with which to speak of it. So you must fight hard to express it. You must fight hard to shine the light of words upon it. Because if you don’t, if your fear becomes a wordless darkness that you avoid, perhaps even manage to forget, you open yourself to further attacks of fear because you never truly fought the opponent who defeated you.

The Enrollment to End All Enrollments

Everybody knows the enrollment process in UST is a pain - long lines, crowds of people all under the scorching hot sun. Today’s was an exception though. I don’t know if it’s due to the fact that we came an hour a half earlier than our schedule or the system has improved. I think it’s the latter.

Obligatory pre-“wasted” photo before leaving

I hitched a ride with my sister who was heading to Trinoma at 10. I asked to be dropped off at Joren’s so I could have lunch there and so we could go to school together.

Imagine our surprise when we saw no lines. None. Zero. Nada. We just strolled into the seminary gym which usually took too long and was too hot. Thankfully the weather was cool and we managed to get back in the car before the rain fell.

All I can say is, best enrollment ever. Perfect last enrollment memory to keep.

After I got my registration form I asked to be dropped off at Trinoma so me and my sister could go home together. I tried out the knit sweater I was pinning for the other day, which I have yet to blog about @_@ - but it was XL. WTF. >.<

So I just bought the second book of the Kane Chronicles: The Throne of Fire at National Bookstore (because Powerbooks didn’t have them anymore) and a box of cheese rolls from Cafe Mary Grace for mom.

I took another bite of my pancakes and wondered why - on such a great morning - I still felt sad, and a little incomplete. I suppose with so many things suddenly getting bettter, the things that were still missing hurt even worse.
