What better way to pre-celebrate than pigging out? I just hope we didn’t jinx it by celebrating before the final decision. Hahaha.

I realized that I haven’t posted anything with a “love” tag lately. So I’m hitting two birds with one stone in this one. Two of my favorite things together: Joren & food.

My food buddy
We had our finals shoot for the Fashion Institute of the Philippines that day. (If you’re reading this, thanks a lot for the help Jash!) Joren was actually supposed to come with but thought better and decided to skip it knowing that he would just get bored and I would just end up asking him to do stuff. Hahaha.
So he picked me up after instead and took me out to dinner which was a really really good idea since I was starving at that point. BUT there was a waiting list at Wee Nam Kee so we had to wait a little while before we got seated but after that it was a breeze. It didn’t take too long before food was on the table. Yay!

Steamed Chicken Rice Personal Set (168php)

Roasted Chicken Rice Personal Set (168php)
Both sets come with a bowl of rice and soup. I prefer the roasted one to the steamed one just because it has a little more flavor to it.

Asado Pork (220php)
This was really good. I’m a fan of anything with barbecue sauce so I would’ve finished this plate had I not been eating chicken. Hahaha.

Mango Sago (68php)
I was kinda disappointed that the whipped cream fell over the side before it even got to me but on the bright side, it was the last one and I got it! Hahaha. Lucky me! I like this because it wasn’t too sweet and it was really heavy like good for sharing. That’s a good thing since this was one of the few desserts that Joren likes and I rarely have to share dessert with him, not that I want to. Hahaha.
So yeah, I basically went home full from all the food and fulfilled from having finished the shoot. Not to mention really happy!

Here’s a video tour around Casa Roces. I took a lot of photos of the place already on my first visit (see here) so I had different approach this time. Hope you guys like it! :)

Last Thursday, I celebrated my 21st birthday with my family and Joren over dinner. My birthday was actually three days before but better late than never, right?

Sizzling Squid - 224php
I didn’t taste this cause I don’t eat squid that much. Heehee. But my dad said it’s not that good.

Patola in Olive Oil - 135php
Not a fan of patola so I didn’t taste this either. Dad said it was good though.

Sinangag na Sinigang - 224php
This was the reason I chose Kanin Club that day. Yes, it’s that good. Sinigang is already a favorite but to have this rice version is just perfection!
It’s my birthday tomorrow! And I have some work to do. Haha. I feel so old saying that!
Bringing friends together isn’t as easy now as when we were all in the same school. So we took some of our time this Sunday to meet and catch up. A perfect way to “pre-celebrate” my birthday.

Tenders - 95php
My favorite’s Smokey BBQ with Honey Mustard dip ♥

Den, me and Gian

I missed you girls so much!

I can’t leave Flaming Wings without a plate of Wicked Oreos. (I forgot how much this costs but it doesn’t go over 100php.) Plus Den has never eaten at Flamings Wings and it’s a must-try for a first-timer.
